Thermography-controlled wIRA superficial hyperthermia new at University Medical Center Magdeburg

In the beginning of March 2021, the Thermography-controlled superficial hyperthermia device hydrosun®-TWH1500 was installed at Department of Radiation Oncology, University Medical Center Magdeburg. Prof. Thomas Brunner and Dr. Peter Hass are most satisfied with the clinical results already achieved in the first patients. There will be a close cooperation with the Department of Dermatology. Combined superficial hyperthermia and low dose (re-)irradiation could be an interesting option for the treatment of heavily pretreated, irresectable large-sized squamous cell carcinoma.
